Gaza Herald – Security sources reported on Wednesday that an assassination attempt targeting a resistance leader in central Gaza was successfully foiled following what was described as a specialized intelligence operation.
According to the Majd Security website, the security forces arrested two individuals involved in the plot. Weapons equipped with silencers, along with recording devices and disguised clothing, were seized during the operation.
The arrested suspects reportedly admitted during interrogation that they belonged to a group led by Shawqi Abu Nasirah. They also confessed to receiving training from Israeli intelligence officers, including an officer identified by the alias “Captain Abu Omar.”
The security website stated that further details regarding the suspects’ confessions will be released at a later time.
