Gaza Herald – The Israeli authorities released seven Palestinian detainees from Gaza on Sunday evening after they spent varying periods in Israeli prisons.
The detainees were transferred by the International Committee of the Red Cross to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah for medical examinations and treatment.
Medical sources reported that the released Palestinians showed signs of severe physical exhaustion and deteriorating health, consistent with prolonged detention and abuse inside Israeli prisons.
Israel periodically released small numbers of Gaza detainees after completing their sentences, while rights groups warn that many return in critical condition due to torture, medical neglect, and harsh detention conditions.
