Israeli Forces Esclate Ceasefire Violations, Demolishing Gaza Buildings

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire for the 100th consecutive day, carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and live fire across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, further terrorizing civilians and undermining any claims of calm.

Local reports said Israeli troops detonated residential buildings east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, accompanied by heavy gunfire from military vehicles positioned in the area. Israeli warplanes also launched two airstrikes east of the city, marking another escalation despite the ceasefire declared on October 10.

In central Gaza, an Israeli helicopter opened fire toward the northeastern areas of al-Bureij refugee camp, triggering widespread panic among residents already living under constant threat.

Human rights organizations warned that these repeated attacks on residential areas pose grave risks to civilians and systematically erode any chance of stabilizing the ceasefire or protecting Gaza’s population.

The Gaza Center for Human Rights reported that Israel killed 479 Palestinians and wounded 1,280 others during the first 99 days of the ceasefire, noting that 91.9% of the killed were civilians, with children, women, and the elderly making up more than half of the victims, evidence, the center said, that Israel’s genocidal campaign continues under new methods.
