Gaza Herald – The Civil Defense in Gaza has sounded the alarm over an estimated 70,000 tons of unexploded Israeli ordnance scattered across the enclave, calling it a ticking time bomb endangering what remains of Gaza’s population after two years of genocidal bombardment.
Spokesman Mahmoud Basal said rescue teams are still struggling to recover the bodies of thousands of Palestinians buried under the rubble, lacking the heavy equipment and resources needed as Israel continues to block recovery and demining efforts.
