Hamas Denounces US “Lies,” Accuses Israel of Backing Armed Gangs Amid Gaza Genocide

Gaza Herald – Hamas has fiercely rejected claims made by the U.S. State Department alleging an “imminent attack” or a “ceasefire violation” by the Movement, calling them false, politically motivated, and fully aligned with Israeli propaganda.

In a statement issued Saturday, Hamas said Washington’s remarks serve as a “cover for Israel’s continued crimes and organized aggression” against the Palestinian people, stressing that “facts on the ground tell the opposite.”

The group accused Israel of forming, arming, and funding criminal gangs responsible for murders, kidnappings, and looting aid trucks in Gaza, citing public admissions and videos as evidence of the occupation’s involvement in spreading chaos.

Hamas affirmed that Gaza’s police forces, backed by community support, are working to track down and prosecute these gangs through lawful means to protect civilians and public property.

The statement urged the U.S. administration to stop echoing “Israel’s deceptive narrative” and instead pressure Tel Aviv to end its repeated ceasefire violations, including its support and protection of these armed groups inside occupied zones.
