Freed Palestinian Prisoners Arrive in Khan Younis

Gaza Herald – Dozens of freed Palestinian prisoners have arrived in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, as part of the prisoner exchange agreement under the ceasefire that brought an end to Israel’s two-year genocide against the Gaza Strip.

According to the Prisoners’ Information Office, a total of 1,968 Palestinian prisoners will be released today under the “Flood of Al-Ahrar III” exchange deal.

The list includes 250 prisoners serving life or long-term sentences, and 1,718 detainees from Gaza who were arrested after October 7, 2023.

The release marks one of the largest prisoner exchanges in recent years, symbolizing both a humanitarian and political milestone following the ceasefire agreement.
