Gaza Herald – The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced on Wednesday the opening of a new administrative window. This initiative allows employees to settle university tuition fees using their financial dues held by the Ministry of Finance.
The ministry stated that this service is available to employees of the education sector, staff across other government ministries and institutions, and members of security forces and agencies. The announcement was made to facilitate educational financing for these specific categories of public servants.
According to the ministry, the period for submitting applications begins immediately on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This window will remain open until the end of working hours on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Officials emphasized that this deadline is strict and will not be extended under any circumstances.
Applicants are required to adhere to specific procedures outlined by the ministry. These include completing an electronic application form via a dedicated link provided by the ministry. Applicants must enter all required data with precision and attach necessary supporting documents to ensure the validity of their requests.
A critical step involves personal verification. Applicants must visit the nearest Education Directorate in their respective governorates to sign a power of attorney form in person. This signing process is scheduled to take place from Sunday, September 13, 2026, through Thursday, September 24, 2026.
For members of security forces, the ministry clarified that procedural completion is handled differently. They must finalize their arrangements through the Military Finance department rather than the standard civilian education directorates. This distinction ensures that security personnel follow the appropriate internal channels for such financial transactions.
The ministry specified that eligibility is restricted to classified employees who are confirmed and currently active in their positions. Casual or non-classified staff are not eligible for this particular financial arrangement. The service aims to support those with stable employment status within the government structure.
Regarding the scope of usage, each employee is limited to one educational case for either a son or a daughter. The academic program must fall within the level of a diploma or a bachelor’s degree. This restriction applies specifically to funding the children’s education under this scheme.
However, employees themselves can utilize this service to pay for postgraduate studies. This provision allows the staff member to benefit from the deduction for their own advanced degrees, separate from the allowance granted for their children’s undergraduate or diploma programs.
The ministry urged all interested parties to verify the accuracy of the data entered during the electronic submission process. Errors in the application could lead to delays or rejection. Officials reiterated that no extensions will be granted after the September 19 deadline for receiving applications.
