Gaza Herald – The United Nations has expressed grave concern over Israel’s ongoing airstrikes and military attacks in Gaza, warning of their devastating impact on civilians, particularly children, and the damage inflicted on hospitals and other vital civilian infrastructure.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stressed that civilians and civilian facilities, including hospitals, must be protected and must never be targeted or used for military purposes.
The UN also warned that Israeli restrictions and insufficient aid are hindering efforts to prepare Gaza for the coming rainy season, as the devastated Strip faces growing risks of flooding and worsening humanitarian conditions.
The latest UN warning comes as Israel continues attacks across Gaza despite calls for the strikes to stop. Since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, Israeli violations have killed 1,318 Palestinians and injured 4,375, while rescue teams have recovered hundreds of bodies from beneath the rubble.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israel’s genocide on Gaza since October 2023 has killed 73,454 Palestinians and wounded 174,486 others, with thousands more still believed to be trapped beneath destroyed buildings.
