Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement for the 260th consecutive day on Friday, carrying out fresh attacks, including artillery shelling, live fire, and the detonations of residential buildings across the besieged Gaza territory.
Since the early hours of Friday, multiple ceasefire violations have been reported, primarily targeting western areas of Gaza City.
A Palestinian man, Walid Majdi Haniyeh, succumbed to wounds sustained in an Israeli airstrike carried out a day earlier near the Italian Complex in Al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
In southern Gaza, a young Palestinian was wounded after Israeli occupation forces opened fire near the Austrian Cemetery west of Khan Younis, according to local sources.
Israeli occupation vehicles also fired extensively toward eastern Khan Younis, while artillery shelling struck several areas east of the city. Heavy gunfire from Israeli tanks continued throughout southern and eastern Khan Younis, with bullets reportedly hitting tents sheltering displaced families near the Austrian Cemetery.
Israeli occupation forces also continued detonation operations in northern Gaza, with local sources reporting the destruction of additional structures east of Beit Lahia.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that two Palestinians were killed and 15 others were injured over the previous 24 hours as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks.
The ministry added that numerous victims remain trapped beneath rubble or in inaccessible areas, where ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them, indicating that the actual death toll is likely higher.
According to the ministry, the cumulative toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 has reached 1,031 Palestinians killed and 3,309 injured, in addition to 785 bodies recovered.
Since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, Gaza’s reported death toll has risen to 73,043, with 173,417 Palestinians injured, according to the Ministry of Health.
