GMO: Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza Continues Despite Ceasefire

Gaza Herald- The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza warned of the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip as winter approaches, stressing that the suffering of approximately 1.5 million displaced people is rapidly escalating in the absence of even the most basic necessities of life.

The GMO emphasized that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues despite the ceasefire agreement, noting that the Israeli occupation has failed to uphold its commitments to allow the entry of aid and essential supplies, worsening conditions for displaced families in camps and shelters.

It stated that the Gaza Strip urgently needs 250,000 tents and 100,000 caravans to provide temporary shelter for affected families until reconstruction efforts can begin.

The GMO further described the international silence and inaction in the face of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza as “unacceptable,” and called on the United Nations, mediators, and concerned countries to intervene immediately to deliver emergency humanitarian aid and ease the suffering of the population.
