Ceasefire Crumbles as Israel Escalates Ceasefire Violations

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued to violate the fragile Gaza ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 2025, carrying out sustained artillery shelling and live fire across multiple areas of the Strip. The renewed attacks unfolded as more than two million Palestinians endured catastrophic humanitarian conditions that intensified during the month of Ramadan.

Israeli military vehicles opened concentrated fire toward the northeastern neighborhoods of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while artillery units shelled northwestern districts. In southern Gaza, Israeli artillery struck eastern Khan Younis, sending civilians scrambling for shelter amid ongoing instability.

Although Israeli forces withdrew behind the so-called “Yellow Line” under a U.S.-proposed framework advanced by President Donald Trump, they continued to control more than half of Gaza’s territory, maintaining a significant military footprint across the enclave.

Since the ceasefire take into effect, Israeli attacks have killed approximately 618 Palestinians and injured 1,663 others, according to Palestinian authorities. The broader genocide has resulted in more than 72,000 killed and over 171,000 injuries, most of them women and children, while destroying roughly 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, leaving the enclave on the brink of prolonged humanitarian collapse.
