Israeli Airstrikes Hit Gaza as Ceasefire Violations Continue

Gaza Herald – Israeli warplanes launched multiple airstrikes across eastern Gaza early Saturday, accompanied by artillery shelling and live fire, marking fresh Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10.

Local sources reported air raids targeting Gaza City’s Shujaiya and Tuffah neighborhoods, while Israeli helicopters opened fire on eastern areas of Jabalia in northern Gaza.

Additional strikes hit eastern Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, as Israeli helicopters and ground forces fired heavily toward eastern Khan Younis and northern Rafah.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem condemned Israel’s repeated ceasefire breaches, urging mediators to pressure Israel to halt violations and comply with the agreement, despite Washington’s announcement of a second phase.

Gaza’s Government Media Office said Israel committed 1,244 documented ceasefire violations during the first phase alone, killing, wounding, and arresting 1,760 Palestinians, following a two-year genocide that killed over 71,000 Palestinians and devastated 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
