Israel Strikes Designated Shelter Zone in Khan Younis, Killing Civilians

Gaza Herald – The Gaza Civil Defense said the civilians killed in last night’s Khan Younis massacre were inside a designated shelter zone that Israeli occupation itself had marked as “safe,” underscoring the ongoing pattern of direct, systematic attacks on displaced families despite the declared ceasefire.

Spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said repeated strikes on displacement camps prove that what is unfolding in Gaza is not retaliation but a deliberate assault on civilians.

Basal stressed that the attack on Al-Mawasi shelter area is not an isolated incident but part of a months-long genocidal campaign that continues to intensify humanitarian collapse across the Strip. He warned that the international community cannot ignore the escalating pattern of strikes on clearly marked humanitarian zones.

The Israeli strike on the shelter camp near the Kuwaiti Hospital killed six Palestinians and wounded ten others, including several in critical condition. The attack comes as Gaza endures daily violations of the ceasefire, with Israeli occupation continuing airstrikes, artillery fire, and the destruction of civilian homes across multiple districts.
