On October 14, 2025, Dr. Hossam was subjected to a violent raid by a special unit, resulting in injuries to his hand and eye. He also faced another assault on September 27 while returning from a lawyer’s visit. His last visit on October 15 lasted just 15 minutes under heavy security, and he was unaware his court session was scheduled the following day.
