Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, carrying out artillery shelling, gunfire attacks, and demolition operations in several areas of the enclave.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation vehicles opened heavy fire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while artillery shelling struck nearby areas. Israeli drones were also seen flying at low altitude over the city.
Israeli occupation forces additionally fired smoke grenades and live ammunition near Salah al-Din Road at the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Younis.
In Gaza City, residents reported low-altitude flights by Israeli helicopters over both the eastern and western parts of the city, contributing to heightened tensions among civilians.
Further north, Israeli vehicles opened fire near the Wadi Gaza Bridge, north of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The incidents come a day after five Palestinians, including a woman and two children, were killed in an Israeli strike near a residential area in the town of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza, according to local reports.
Israeli occupation forces have continued conducting airstrikes, artillery attacks, detonation operations, and other attacks despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect in October 2025. Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travelers also remain in place.
According to figures released by Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, has risen to 995, with 3,144 injuries recorded. Rescue teams have also recovered 784 bodies during the same period.
The ministry added that the overall death toll since the outbreak of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, has reached 73,006, while the number of wounded has climbed to 173,252, underscoring the continuing human toll of the war.
