Gaza Herald – A 13-year-old Palestinian girl, Saba Naeem Abdullah Al-Hashash, has succumbed to her wounds sustained in Israeli gunfire in Al-Iqlimi area of Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, as Israeli forces continued their attacks across Gaza despite the ceasefire.
Israeli forces also wounded Palestinians in Jabalia’s Halawa refugee camp in northern Gaza. At the same time, heavy gunfire was reported toward civilian homes near Al-Mahatta Mosque in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Israeli artillery also shelled Al-Tina Street south of Khan Younis. The attacks followed additional injuries reported in Khan Younis on Sunday, including those suffered by a child.
The latest incidents add to continuing Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire, including artillery and gunfire, attacks near displaced civilians, demolitions within the so-called “Yellow Line,” and restrictions on the movement of Palestinians, goods and humanitarian aid.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the Palestinian death toll since the ceasefire began on October 10 has reached 1,258, with 4,139 Palestinians injured and 807 bodies recovered from the rubble.
Since the Israeli genocide on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, the reported toll has reached approximately 73,386 Palestinians killed and 174,250 injured, reflecting the devastating human cost of the ongoing Israeli assault.
For Palestinians in Gaza, the ceasefire remains painfully fragile. Even as promises of an end to the attacks continue, children and civilians are still being killed, wounded and forced to live under the threat of Israeli fire.
