Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Thursday that the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire agreement came into effect has risen to 1,031, as Israeli attacks continue across the Gaza Strip despite the truce.
According to the ministry’s daily report, two Palestinians were killed and 15 others injured over the past 24 hours. The latest casualties were recorded amid ongoing Israeli attacks and repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The ministry said many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or lying in the streets, where ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach them because of continued Israeli attacks and dangerous field conditions.
It added that 785 bodies have been recovered since the ceasefire began through ongoing search and rescue operations in heavily damaged areas.
Since the truce took effect, the ministry has documented 1,031 fatalities and 3,309 injuries linked to Israeli ceasefire violations.
The ministry also updated the overall toll from Israel’s genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, reporting 73,043 Palestinians killed and 173,417 injured.
Health authorities warned that the humanitarian situation remains dire, with rescue operations severely hindered by the continued hostilities, leaving an unknown number of victims still missing beneath the rubble.
