Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continued ceasefire violations for the 246th consecutive day on Friday, carrying out artillery shelling, live-fire attacks, and detonations amid an ongoing humanitarian crisis fueled by the blockade and movement restrictions.
According to local sources, Israeli tanks and drones opened heavy fire toward Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, while artillery bombardment targeted the area simultaneously.
In southern Gaza, the Israeli occupation carried out a large-scale detonation east of Khan Younis.
Israeli occupation vehicles also fired extensively in areas of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli aircraft struck the courtyard of a home belonging to the Sarsour family in Deir al-Balah and targeted agricultural land east of the city.
Another Israeli strike hit the home of Al-Khamisi family in Al-Maghazi refugee camp, causing significant damage. Aircraft later launched a second airstrike on the camp.
Israeli occupation forces have continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza through air and artillery attacks targeting areas where displaced civilians are sheltering, in addition to demolition and destruction operations within what is known as the “yellow line” zone. Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel also remain in place.
According to figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of people killed since the ceasefire came into effect on 10 October 2025 has risen to 982, while 3,111 others have been injured. Rescue teams have also recovered 783 bodies during the same period.
The overall toll since the start of the genocide on 7 October 2023 has reached 72,992 deaths and 173,219 injuries, highlighting the continuing human cost of the genocide in Gaza.
