Israel Escalates Ceasefire Violations with Shelling, Demolitions Across Gaza

Gaza Herald – The Israeli occupation forces continued their violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement for the 234th consecutive day, carrying out artillery shelling, live fire attacks, and detonation operations in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces conducted detonation operations east of Gaza City while simultaneously renewing artillery bombardment on areas east of al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the southeastern part of the city.

Israeli naval vessels also opened fire off the coast of Gaza City and the shores of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The firing of illumination flares over the targeted areas accompanied the attacks.

Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis and in areas near the center of the city, adding to growing concerns over the continued escalation despite the ceasefire agreement.

The latest incidents come amid ongoing accusations that Israel is systematically violating the ceasefire through military operations, bombardment, and restrictions affecting daily life across the Gaza Strip.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, 2025, has risen to 929, while 2,811 Palestinians have been injured. The ministry also reported the recovery of 781 bodies from different areas of the Gaza Strip during the same period.

The ministry’s cumulative statistics indicate that since the beginning of Israel’s genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the death toll has reached 72,938 Palestinians, with 172,919 others wounded.

Health officials noted that the latest increase in the overall death toll includes the addition of 112 previously undocumented victims whose records were recently verified and approved by the official committee responsible for documenting Palestinian fatalities since the beginning of May.
