Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces continue intensive shelling and gunfire across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Field reports indicate that breaches have persisted for 217 consecutive days since 11 October 2025, involving artillery and airstrikes, heavy fire from military vehicles, detonations targeting Palestinian buildings, and attacks on civilian areas, displacement camps, and shelters.
In northern Gaza, Israeli artillery struck areas in Jabalia refugee camp and Beit Lahia, while heavy gunfire from military vehicles was reported in eastern Khan Younis since the early morning hours.
Local sources said shelling and live fire also targeted areas east of Khan Younis and east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, in addition to strikes near civilian homes and displacement centers.
Military vehicles and bulldozers reportedly advanced into Al-Sakafi area in the Beit Lahia project in northern Gaza, accompanied by sustained gunfire toward residential buildings and areas hosting displaced families.
In parallel, several homes in eastern Gaza City were detonated as part of the ongoing destruction of civilian infrastructure.
Medical sources reported that 16 Palestinians were injured on Wednesday due to Israeli gunfire, shelling, and the explosion of unexploded ordnance in northern and central Gaza.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the total death toll since 7 October 2023 has reached 72,740, with 172,555 reported injuries, including severe and critical cases.
Authorities also stated that since the ceasefire came into effect, violations have resulted in 856 victims and 2,463 injuries, amid a continued deterioration of humanitarian and health conditions in the territory.
Despite the ceasefire agreement reached in Sharm El-Sheikh through Arab and US mediation on 10 October 2025, violations have continued on a near-daily basis following more than two years of genocide on the Gaza Strip.
