Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces escalated the Gaza ceasefire violations on Monday through renewed shelling, gunfire, and the ongoing blockade imposed on the territory.
Local sources reported that a Palestinian civilian was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the town of Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.
Witnesses said Israeli tanks opened heavy fire toward several areas east of the Gaza Strip early Monday morning. Israeli military vehicles also fired toward eastern Gaza City, while intense tank fire targeted eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis in the southern Strip.
Israeli artillery additionally shelled areas east of Khan Younis amid escalating military activity across the enclave.
In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces detained three Palestinian fishermen, who are brothers, while they were working off the coast of Gaza City.
Israel continues to breach the ceasefire agreement through airstrikes, artillery attacks, demolitions, and restrictions on humanitarian aid, goods, and travel. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the death toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, has risen to 851 Palestinians, with 2,437 injuries and 767 bodies recovered from the rubble.
The ministry added that the overall death toll since the start of the genocide on October 7, 2023, has reached 72,737 killed and 172,539 wounded, underscoring the devastating human cost of the ongoing attack on Gaza.
