Gaza Herald – Israeli forces renewed violations of the ceasefire in Gaza on Thursday, carrying out airstrikes, artillery shelling, and helicopter gunfire, targeting civilian areas across the Strip. Despite the ceasefire, attacks continue, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health reports rising casualties.
Local sources said Israeli aircraft conducted two airstrikes on the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, while artillery targeted eastern areas of Gaza City. Israeli artillery also shelled areas northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, and a helicopter fired on the eastern districts of Gaza City.
The shelling resumed later, striking eastern Gaza City and the surroundings of Al-Bureij in successive attacks on civilian locations.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, one civilian was killed, and two others were injured in the past 24 hours due to Israeli attacks.
Several casualties remain trapped under rubble or in streets, as emergency and civil defense teams are unable to reach them due to ongoing shelling and dangerous conditions.
Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, the ministry reported a total of approximately 650 killed and 1,732 injured, with 756 bodies recovered from under debris.
The cumulative toll since the start of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023, has now reached 72,135 killed and 171,830 injured, as the Israeli military campaign continues to inflict widespread destruction and loss of life.
