Gaza Herald – Israeli forces carried out fresh airstrikes, artillery shelling, and live fire across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip early Friday, as reported ceasefire violations continued months after the truce was declared.
According to local reports, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. At the same time, Israeli artillery units shelled areas east of Gaza City, while naval gunboats fired toward the city’s coastline.
Israeli warplanes also conducted an airstrike near Al-Durra Hospital in Al-Tuffah neighborhood in northeastern Gaza City. Witnesses reported explosions in the vicinity of the medical facility, raising concerns over civilian safety in densely populated areas.
In central Gaza, another airstrike targeted areas east of the secondary schools near the Bureij refugee camp. Israeli tanks were also reported to have fired heavily toward the eastern outskirts of the camp.
The attacks come amid continued breaches of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which took effect on October 10 last year. Despite the truce, Palestinian authorities report ongoing Israeli military operations, including air raids, artillery shelling, and gunfire across different parts of the enclave.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, at least 636 Palestinians have been killed and 1,704 injured since the ceasefire was announced in October. Authorities also reported 753 bodies recovered from rubble during the same period.
