Gaza Herald- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says regional escalation is worsening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis as all crossings, including Rafah, remain closed.
OCHA stated on Tuesday that delays in UN staff rotations are halting medical evacuations and aid deliveries in Gaza, warning the full blockade could stop supplies entirely.
It reported that fuel shortages in Gaza are disrupting hospitals, bakeries, and water services, with some residents receiving just two liters of drinking water daily amid rising food prices.
The UN office warned that checkpoint closures in the West Bank are limiting movement and disrupting livelihoods, essential services, and humanitarian aid.
OCHA further stressed the urgent need to protect civilians and guarantee unobstructed humanitarian aid under international law.
Daily ceasefire violations by Israel since October 2025 have killed 629 Palestinians, including 198 children and 85 women, and injured 1,693 others, according to reports.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, backed by U.S. and European support, has been accused of genocide in Gaza, involving killings, starvation, displacement, and arrests, defying international calls and ICJ orders.
The Gaza genocide has killed or injured over 243,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, left more than 11,000 missing, displaced hundreds of thousands, and caused widespread famine and destruction across the Strip.
