Palestinian Journalists Forum Condemns Israeli Attacks on Press in Lebanon, Iran

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Journalists Forum issued a strong statement condemning Israeli airstrikes on Al-Nour Radio in Lebanon’s southern suburbs of Beirut, Al-Manar TV, and Iran’s state broadcasting complex. The Forum called the attacks “a blatant assault on press freedom and civilian journalism.”

The strikes hit office buildings and media facilities, causing structural damage and halting operations. Journalists reported the evacuation of staff amid chaos, with widespread fear for safety as the strikes unfolded.

The Forum noted that these attacks are part of a continuing pattern targeting Palestinian media over recent years, including bombings, arrests, and forced closures aimed at silencing independent reporting. “Attacking journalists is attacking the truth itself,” the statement said.

Reiterating solidarity with affected media professionals, the Forum urged international organizations and the public to recognize these attacks as a severe violation of international norms protecting journalists. “No strike can erase facts or break the will of those reporting from the frontlines,” it added
