Gaza Death Toll Rises to 72,116 as Recovery Efforts Continue Under Severe Constraints

Gaza Herald – Gaza’s Health Ministry released its daily statistical report confirming that 18 bodies were recovered and two injured civilians were admitted to hospitals across the Strip over the past 24 hours, as rescue operations persist amid limited resources and restricted access.

The Ministry stated that additional victims remain trapped beneath collapsed structures or in inaccessible areas, with ambulance and civil defense teams still unable to reach them due to field conditions and operational limitations.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, authorities have recorded 631 killed and 1,700 injuries, along with 753 documented body recoveries during the same period.

The cumulative toll since the start of Israel’s military offensive on October 7, 2023, has now reached 72,116 killed and 171,798 injured, underscoring the sustained human impact of the genocidal war as recovery and identification efforts continue.
