Two Civilians Killed in Past 24 Hours as Israel Continues Airstrikes and Demolitions in Gaza

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces continued breaching the fragile Gaza ceasefire early Monday, launching airstrikes, artillery shelling, and carrying out controlled demolitions of residential buildings across the Strip.

Overnight explosions were reported in eastern areas, while heavy artillery fire intensified on the sixth day of Ramadan, underscoring the persistent volatility despite the truce.

Israeli warplanes struck eastern Khan Younis amid sustained drone surveillance, as ground forces opened heavy fire toward eastern neighborhoods of the city and al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Artillery units also shelled areas in Beit Lahia in the north. In Gaza City, fighter jets targeted eastern districts in parallel with intermittent shelling, extending the scope of military operations.

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported two killed and three wounded individuals over the past 24 hours.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, at least 614 Palestinians were killed and 1,643 were injured, with 726 bodies recovered from the rubble.

Cumulative figures since October 7, 2023, placed the death toll at 72,072 and injuries at 171,741, as the health system remained under severe strain.
