Gaza Herald- Several civilians, including a woman and a child, were injured on Saturday by Israeli gunfire as Israeli forces continued to violate the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip through airstrikes, artillery shelling, and the demolition of buildings.
A medical source reported that a young girl was shot in the head after Israeli forces opened fire indiscriminately toward tents sheltering displaced people near the so-called Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.
A 60-year-old man was also injured after being shot in the foot when Israeli forces fired randomly at displacement tents in the al-Mughraqa area, south of Gaza City.
Earlier, a local source reported that a woman was injured by Israeli gunfire near the Austrian neighborhood, south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes this morning targeting Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Rafah.
Israeli forces also demolished residential buildings east of Khan Younis while intensifying gunfire from military vehicles in the same area.
Airstrikes were also reported east of Gaza City, alongside heavy tank fire in the eastern part of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood.
Israeli tanks additionally opened heavy fire east of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In Rafah, Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes on the city while military vehicles fired intensively in its northern areas.
Since the ceasefire came into effect, repeated violations by Israeli forces have resulted in the killing of 617 Palestinians, including 194 children and 84 women, and the injury of 1,551 others.
Since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed and around 172,000 injured, with over 8,000 reported missing. Widespread destruction has affected approximately 90% of civilian infrastructure, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at around $70 billion.
