Palestinian Child Injured in Israeli Attack in Southern Gaza

Gaza Herald – A Palestinian child has been wounded by Israeli gunfire in southern Gaza early on Wednesday.

Medical sources reported that the child was shot in the al-Batn al-Samin area, south of Khan Younis.

Israeli forces continued breaching the ceasefire in Gaza for the 123rd consecutive day on Tuesday, carrying out home demolitions and air and artillery strikes across multiple areas of the enclave.

Warplanes launched several strikes inside the so-called “yellow line,” targeting areas east of Al-Bureij refugee camp and east of Al-Maghazi camp. Israeli artillery also renewed shelling east of Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza, while additional demolition operations were reported in various parts of the territory.

The attacks unfolded amid worsening humanitarian conditions, despite the limited reopening of the Rafah crossing.

On Tuesday, Gaza’s Government Media Office said Israeli forces had committed 1,620 violations of the ceasefire over the past four months, killing 573 Palestinians and wounding 1,553 others. According to the office, 292 of those killed were women and children, and 99 percent of the casualties were civilians.
