GMO Denounces Waltz’s Claims as Misleading and Factually Inaccurate

Gaza Herald- The Government Media Office (GMO) denied statements made by US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, during which he claimed that 600 aid trucks enter Gaza per day, saying that this distorts the truth to help Israel starve Gaza’s residents.

Since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025, Gaza has received only 14,534 out of the 37,200 aid trucks expected, averaging just 234 trucks per day, only 39% of the agreed amount, according to the Office on Thursday.

The statement accused the U.S. of supporting Israel’s actions that deliberately harm Gaza’s economy and threaten civilians with starvation.

The office warned that the Israeli blockade is preventing essential supplies from entering Gaza, including food, medical supplies, spare parts, and emergency equipment.

It called for urgent action to pressure Israel to lift the ban on essential supplies entering Gaza, describing it as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and urging that those responsible be held accountable.

The Media Office described the crossings as a deliberate blockade causing delays and supply shortages, holding Israel fully responsible for Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

The statement urged an independent investigation into Israel’s aid practices and demanded compliance with the ceasefire agreement and UN resolutions.
