Gaza Herald – Euro-Med Monitor has documented a shocking pattern of Israeli-occupation bulldozers and tanks crushing wounded Palestinians, children, and displaced families, revealing one of the most brutal killing methods used in the ongoing genocide. In one case, a bulldozer crushed a wounded child, and moments later a tank ran over his mother, 65-year-old Safiya Hassan Musa al-Jamal, killing her in front of her son.
The watchdog also confirmed that on 23 January 2024, an Israeli tank crushed a shelter caravan in Khan Yunis while the Ghannam family slept inside, killing the father and eldest daughter and injuring the mother and three young children. On 16 December 2023, tanks and bulldozers ran over displaced Palestinians taking refuge in tents at Kamal Adwan Hospital, killing wounded patients and even crushing burial graves.
Human rights experts warn that running over Palestinians with heavy military machinery reflects a policy aimed at destroying Palestinians as a national group, reinforced by public incitement, systematic targeting, and near-total impunity. Despite the 10 October 2025 ceasefire, the Israeli occupation has killed 389 civilians and injured about 1,000 others, through bombardment, artillery fire, and direct shootings, all part of the broader genocide.
The killings continue alongside the deliberate creation of deadly living conditions, including blocking aid, preventing reconstruction, and leaving displaced families exposed to cold, disease, and a collapsed health system. These actions collectively meet criteria of genocide under international law.
The International Criminal Court is urged to prioritize investigations into the killing of children, wounded civilians, displaced families, and all acts amounting to genocide. States with universal jurisdiction are called to open criminal cases into these documented atrocities. Parties to the Genocide Convention must act now, including halting weapons transfers to the Israeli occupation, to prevent further extermination of Palestinians in Gaza.
