Over 9,500 Palestinians Remain Missing in Gaza, Officials Say

Gaza Herald – Gaza’s Government Media Office said that more than 9,500 Palestinians remained missing as of Monday, with families still searching through the rubble left by Israel’s ongoing genocide. Officials said thousands were believed to be trapped under destroyed homes, schools, and shelters.

Rescue workers said the scale of devastation had made recovery efforts nearly impossible, as entire neighborhoods were flattened and heavy machinery remained unavailable due to Israel’s blockade. Many of the missing were children and women from areas that suffered repeated airstrikes.

Authorities added that the true number of missing could be far higher, with countless unreported cases from displaced families scattered across the Strip. The absence of proper equipment, fuel, and safe access zones continued to hinder any organized search operations.

Gaza’s media office warned that the growing list of missing Palestinians reflected the depth of the humanitarian catastrophe, saying that Israel’s systematic targeting of civilian areas had erased entire families and left thousands unaccounted for.
