Gaza Herald – Israeli naval forces arrested three Palestinian fishermen today while they were working only meters off the coast of Gaza City, in yet another assault on civilians whose only lifeline is the sea.
The arrests come under the ongoing blockade and genocidal restrictions that target every aspect of Palestinian survival.
This incident follows a series of attacks on fishermen in recent days, including the shooting and wounding of fishermen off Rafah and Khan Younis, and repeated gunfire from Israeli gunboats across Gaza’s coast. Israel continues to terrorize fishermen, arresting, injuring, and firing on them, even as they struggle to provide food for their families under siege.
