Residents Brace for “Very Violent Day” as Gaza City Faces Intensifying Attack

Gaza Herald – Panic and fear gripped Gaza City after a massive aerial bombardment reduced a high-rise to rubble and Israeli forces issued fresh evacuation orders for another building, sparking chaos among residents already struggling to find safety.

Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud reported that the new evacuation order has caused “mayhem” in the city, where people now feel that “everyone has become a target.”

“Everybody now believes it’s going to be a very violent day,” Mahmoud said, noting that families are rushing to seek shelter in areas they hope may face less danger sometimes just a neighborhood away.

Options for evacuation remain extremely limited. Residents can attempt to move into another part of Gaza City, or make the exhausting and often perilous journey toward central Gaza, where overcrowding and shortages of resources leave little room for new arrivals.

With no safe haven left in sight, Gaza City’s civilians face yet another day of terror, displacement, and uncertainty, bracing themselves for violence that seems impossible to escape.
