Two Palestinians Killed in Gaza as Israeli Attacks Continue on Day 234 of Ceasefire Violations

Gaza Herald – Two Palestinians were killed on Sunday as Israeli attacks continued across the Gaza Strip, amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 2025.

A Palestinian man was killed and several others wounded after an Israeli Apache helicopter targeted a group of civilians inside Gaza City’s fishing port on the western coast of the city.

Medical sources reported that one fatality and several injured individuals were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital following the attack.

Earlier in the day, Palestinian citizen Saeed Fayez Shamali succumbed to wounds sustained in a previous Israeli strike that targeted the vicinity of Firas Market in central Gaza City.

Additional injuries were reported after an Israeli drone strike targeted the Block 9 area of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Local sources also reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out demolition operations east of Gaza City while artillery shelling resumed against areas east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the southeastern part of the city.

Israeli naval vessels opened fire off the coast of Gaza City and Khan Younis, accompanied by the launching of illumination flares over coastal areas.

Meanwhile, Israeli military vehicles fired toward areas east and central Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

The latest incidents come as Israeli forces continue military operations despite the ceasefire agreement reached in October 2025. Palestinian officials have repeatedly accused Israel of violating the terms of the agreement through airstrikes, shelling, demolitions, and attacks on civilian areas.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, 2025, has risen to 929, with 2,811 others injured. Authorities have also recovered 781 bodies from various locations across the Gaza Strip during the same period.

The ministry’s cumulative figures indicate that since the start of Israel’s genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, at least 72,938 Palestinians have been killed and 172,919 wounded.

Health officials noted that the latest increase in the overall death toll includes 112 previously undocumented victims whose information was recently verified and officially added to the records by the Martyrs Documentation Committee.
