Gaza Herald – A 9-year-old Palestinian child, identified as Adel Lafi Al-Najjar, was killed on Tuesday morning after an Israeli airstrike hit the Abu Hamid roundabout area in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, in what local authorities describe as a continued breach of the ceasefire agreement.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that hospitals received one killed person and five civilians injured over the past 24 hours. It also noted that several bodies remain trapped under rubble or lying in streets, as emergency and civil defense teams are still unable to reach multiple targeted locations due to ongoing Israeli restrictions and dangerous conditions.
According to official figures, the total number of fatalities since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11 has risen to 818, while injuries have reached 2,301, in addition to 762 recovered bodies.
Since the beginning of the genocide on October 7, 2023, the overall death toll has climbed to 72,594, with 172,404 Palestinians injured, reflecting the continuing heavy toll on civilians in the Gaza Strip.
