Israeli Forces Release 12 Gaza Detainees

Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces released 12 Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening, all of whom had been arrested during Gaza Genocide.

Local sources reported that the released Palestinians arrived via Red Cross teams at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah for medical treatment after being freed through the Karm Abu Salem crossing east of Rafah.

Journalistic sources stated that the detainees were transferred to the hospital following their detention inside Gaza during the past period, amid harsh detention conditions.

The release comes at a time when Israeli occupation continues to hold thousands of Palestinians in detention camps.

Reports indicate that thousands of detainees have been subjected to severe torture and enforced disappearance, while others were released in prisoner exchange deals with Palestinian resistance groups.

The Palestinian Center for Prisoners’ Rights stated that the Israeli prison administration, in coordination with security and judicial systems, has enacted policies and procedures enabling the prolonged detention of large numbers of Palestinians.

In previous statements, the center said these policies reflect an approach aimed at collective punishment and increased restrictions on Palestinians, as well as political considerations linked to potential future prisoner exchange negotiations.
