Gaza Herald – Israeli occupation forces renewed artillery shelling and gunfire across several areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, in another series of violations of the ceasefire, as Palestinians continue to face worsening humanitarian conditions.
Israeli forces intensified artillery fire northwest of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, alongside detonations, artillery strikes and heavy tank fire east of the town.
In Gaza City, Israeli artillery targeted the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of the city, while Israeli military vehicles opened fire in the area.
In southern Gaza, Israeli forces stationed east of Khan Younis opened fire westward, while an Israeli tank advanced along Al-Tina Street south of the city. Israeli forces also opened direct fire toward displaced Palestinians’ tents in Al-Iqlimi and Bir 19 areas of Mawasi Khan Younis.
Israeli artillery also shelled areas north of Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
The attacks come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire, posing an ongoing threat to Palestinian civilians, particularly displaced families living in tents and areas lacking basic protection and safety.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025 has risen to 1,259, with 4,148 others injured and 808 bodies recovered.
Since Israel began its genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the overall Palestinian death toll has reached 73,388, while 174,259 people have been injured, underscoring the immense human cost of Israel’s ongoing genocide and the destruction and displacement inflicted across the Strip.
