Gaza Herald-Â The Government Media Office announced that the number of journalists killed has risen to 262 since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, following the killing of another journalist.
In a press statement issued Wednesday, the office said that journalist Mohammed Samir Washah, a correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubasher, was killed.
The office strongly condemned the deliberate targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists by Israeli forces. It called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and media organizations worldwide to denounce these systematic attacks on journalists in Gaza.
It held Israel, along with the United States and other countries it said are complicit in the war, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, fully responsible for these actions.
The statement also urged the international community and relevant media, and human rights organizations to take concrete action to stop the violations, hold those responsible accountable in international courts, and ensure protection for journalists in Gaza.
