Israel Escalates Bombing of Gaza along Iran War

Gaza Herald – Israeli forces broke the Gaza ceasefire for the 144th consecutive day, pounding the enclave with artillery, airstrikes, and heavy gunfire, deepening the humanitarian disaster.

Tanks shelled eastern Khan Younis, while artillery targeted Gaza City’s eastern neighborhoods. Israeli jets struck east of Al-Bureij refugee camp. No immediate casualty reports were confirmed.

The ceasefire tally showed 661 killed, including 199 children, 85 women, and 23 elderly, with 1,700 wounded, over half of them among Gaza’s most vulnerable civilians.

Observers documented 1,921 violations since the ceasefire, averaging 13.5 breaches daily. Israeli forces maintained control over areas outside the agreed lines, blocked infrastructure repairs, and restricted heavy machinery, while many missing persons remain unaccounted for.

Humanitarian aid remained critically low. Only 42% of scheduled aid trucks entered Gaza; fuel shipments covered just 14.5% of the required amount, crippling hospitals, water networks, and essential services. Rafah crossing remained heavily restricted, allowing only 38.6% of the expected number of travelers.

The 144-day pattern reflects systematic Israeli breaches that stripped the ceasefire of any practical effect. Without robust international enforcement, Gaza’s civilians remain trapped in a collapsing humanitarian nightmare.
