Gaza Herald- The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported one fatality and 10 injuries over the past 48 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip. Ambulance and civil defense teams remain unable to reach several victims still trapped under rubble or lying in the streets.
In its daily statistical report, the ministry stated that hospitals across the Strip received one deceased individual and 10 injured persons during this period, noting that repeated attacks and a severe shortage of equipment continue to hinder rescue and evacuation efforts.
According to the data, the total number of casualties recorded since the ceasefire announcement on October 11 has risen to 612 deaths and 1,640 injuries, in addition to 726 bodies recovered, reflecting the continued impact of hostilities despite the declared truce.
Cumulatively, since the beginning of the offensive on October 7, 2023, the ministry reported that the death toll has reached 72,070, with 171,738 people injured, marking one of the deadliest military campaigns in the history of the Gaza Strip.
The ministry emphasized that these figures do not include individuals still buried under rubble or in areas that remain inaccessible, suggesting that the actual toll is likely higher as search and recovery operations continue amid ongoing warnings of a worsening humanitarian crisis and the collapse of the healthcare system.
