Gaza Herald – Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian south of Khan Younis, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex confirmed, adding to the rising death toll despite the declared ceasefire.
The killing occurred outside Israel’s designated deployment zones, according to hospital officials, in an area that should have remained clear under the ceasefire arrangements.
Under the first phase of the US-brokered ceasefire that took effect in October, Israeli troops were meant to pull back behind the so-called “yellow line,” a demarcation intended to prevent direct contact with civilians.
Gaza authorities said that Israeli forces have repeatedly crossed the line, carrying out shootings, air attacks, and demolitions, turning the ceasefire into what they describe as a fragile and routinely violated truce.
