Gaza Herald – A Palestinian couple and their six-year-old daughter were killed on Wednesday after an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential home near Al-Baraka Roundabout, west of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, local sources reported.
The victims were identified as Omar Sami Ahmed Abu Qasem, 33, his wife, Asmaa Ghazi Abu Qasem, and their daughter, Habiba Omar Abu Qasem, 6.
The strike came as Israeli forces continued military attacks across several areas of the Gaza Strip. Israeli artillery shelled areas northeast of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while Israeli forces carried out extensive demolitions in the Qizan al-Najjar area south of Khan Younis.
Israeli drones also dropped bombs near Bani Suheila Roundabout east of Khan Younis, accompanied by heavy tank fire in the eastern parts of the city. In Gaza City, Israeli artillery targeted the Shuja’iyya neighborhood in the east.
The attacks were reported amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, including air and artillery strikes, demolitions in areas near the so-called “Yellow Line,” and ongoing restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, the death toll since the start of the ceasefire on October 10 has risen to 1,123 Palestinians killed, with 3,599 injured and 800 bodies recovered. The overall death toll from the Israeli genocide on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,247 killed and 173,707 injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
