Gaza Herald – Dozens of Palestinians held a protest on Tuesday in central Gaza City, demanding international intervention to stop what they described as Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.
The demonstration took place at Al-Saraya Junction, where participants condemned ongoing Israeli attacks and destruction, particularly in eastern Gaza, despite the ceasefire entering its later stages.
Protesters called on the newly established international “Peace Council” to pressure Israel into fully implementing the ceasefire agreement, including a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and allowing displaced residents to return to their homes.
Participants raised banners urging global accountability, warning that the second phase of the ceasefire has not translated into tangible changes on the ground, as shelling, land clearing, and military incursions persist, especially in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood.
Organizers said the protest aimed to convey the voice of Gaza’s population to international bodies, stressing that Palestinians have adhered to the agreement while Israel continues to block returns, expand its military footprint, and carry out attacks on civilian areas.
Residents and community leaders warned that the worsening humanitarian situation, combined with continued ceasefire breaches, threatens any chance of stability, calling for immediate international pressure to protect civilians and enforce the agreement in full.
