Gaza herald – Israeli airstrikes raised today’s death toll in Gaza to nine in the past 24 hours, as multiple strikes hit civilian shelters across the north and south of the Strip, in what marked a continued breach of the ceasefire.
The attacks targeted displacement tents in western and southern Khan Younis, killing five people, including three children, and wounding others. Additional strikes hit civilian areas in Gaza City and nearby locations, spreading fires and panic among displaced families.
In northern Gaza, an Israeli strike hit a caravan inside a school sheltering displaced civilians in Jabalia, killing one person. Other attacks wounded civilians after Israeli forces dropped explosives on another school in Beit Lahia, prompting emergency medical teams to rush to the site.
Further incidents included the killing of a child by Israeli fire in Jabalia and a separate drone attack on a group of civilians in Khan Younis. The latest strikes added to mounting civilian casualties as attacks continued despite the ceasefire remaining formally in place.
