Gaza Herald – Israeli forces launched intense airstrikes early Friday on southern Gaza, while artillery fire hit multiple areas across the Strip, following a night that left 15 Palestinians killed, including five children.
Five airstrikes targeted southern and eastern Khan Younis, while heavy fire from military vehicles struck eastern neighborhoods. Northern Gaza was also hit, including a strike near Salim Abu Muslim Mosque in central Beit Lahia. Residential areas in al-Tuffah, Gaza City, and Block 7 in al-Bureij camp were targeted as well.
Earlier, four Palestinians, including three children, were killed when an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced families in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. Additional victims were killed in airstrikes in Sheikh Nasser and the surrounding areas.
Airstrikes in al-Nuseirat refugee camp killed two more civilians and wounded several others. In al-Zeitoun, a barracks and house were destroyed, killing four and injuring others. Strikes also hit homes in Deir al-Balah and al-Bureij, while artillery targeted al-Zeitoun street in Gaza City.
In northern Gaza, 11-year-old Hamseh Nidal Samir Huso was killed by Israeli fire in al-Falouja, Jabalia. Israeli attacks on Abu Hussein School killed one civilian and injured four, while three were wounded at Khalifa School in Beit Lahia. A civilian was critically injured at Kuwait Junction in eastern al-Zeitoun.
Since the ceasefire on October 10, 2025, 425 Palestinians have been killed and 1,206 injured, while more than 71,000 have died since October 2023 amid continuing Israeli violations.
