Gaza Herald – An Israeli airstrike struck a residential home on Yaffa Street in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood on Wednesday, killing three Palestinians and wounding several others, according to emergency responders.
Civil defense crews rushed to the targeted house, which was inhabited at the time of the strike, and began searching for wounded and missing residents while battling a fire sparked by the attack. Victims were transported to Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital as rescue operations continued amid severe damage.
Israeli forces claimed the strike targeted a “senior Hamas operative,” alleging it was carried out in response to gunfire directed at Israeli troops positioned in northern Gaza earlier in the day.
The incident added to mounting civilian casualties in Gaza, as airstrikes on densely populated neighborhoods continued despite the presence of families inside residential buildings.
