Israeli Captive’s Body to Be Handed Over by Palestinian Factions in Northern Gaza

Gaza Herald – Al-Quds Brigades said they recovered the body of an Israeli captive during excavation operations on Wednesday morning in northern Gaza as part of the ongoing efforts tied to the prisoner exchange framework. The group said final procedures are underway before the body is formally handed over.

Hamas’s armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, also confirmed that both factions will jointly deliver the body to the Israeli occupation at 5:00 p.m., in accordance with established handover protocols. This marks the latest step in maintaining the fragile ceasefire agreement that Israel continues to violate daily.

With this recovery, only one Israeli body now remains to be located under the terms of the deal, even as thousands of Palestinian bodies are still trapped beneath Gaza’s rubble with no equipment allowed in to retrieve them.
