Gaza Herald – Israel continued its violations of the Gaza ceasefire for the 53rd consecutive day, launching new airstrikes, artillery barrages, and demolition operations across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip.
Israeli forces escalated attacks east of Khan Younis inside the yellow line, with tanks and artillery bombarding several points while helicopters fired intensively from low altitude. Warplanes also struck neighborhoods in al-Shujaiya and al-Tuffah, targeting areas along the eastern frontline.
In Gaza City’s al-Shujaiya district, Israeli artillery shelled homes west of the yellow line, forcing large numbers of displaced families living in tents near the junction to flee once again. The military detonated an explosive-rigged robot near al-Shaaf area, signaling ongoing ground operations in Gaza’s eastern neighborhoods.
Further north, Israeli artillery targeted areas around al-Bureij refugee camp, while quadcopter drones dropped explosives on homes near al-Sanafur junction in al-Tuffah. The army also claimed it killed a Palestinian in central Gaza, accusing him of “crossing the yellow line.”
According to Gaza’s Civil Defense and Health Ministry, rescue teams evacuated a woman and a child from al-Tuffah after coordination through OCHA, alongside dozens of families trapped under tank fire and drone strikes. Casualties climbed to five, including two women and two children.
The Health Ministry reported nine bodies recovered and one additional injury in the past 24 hours, bringing the total since the ceasefire began to 356 Palestinians killed, 909 injured, and 616 bodies retrieved from beneath destroyed homes.
The overall toll from Israel’s genocide has risen to 70,112 killed and 170,986 wounded since October 7, 2023, overwhelmingly women and children. The Government Media Office documented 591 Israeli violations since the ceasefire took effect, including 164 shootings, 25 incursions, 280 air and artillery strikes, and 118 home demolitions, all in flagrant violation of international law.
