Israel’s Genocide Killed Over 20,000 Students Across Palestine

Gaza Herald – The Palestinian Ministry of Education said that 20,058 students have been killed and 31,139 injured since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza and the West Bank on October 7, 2023.

The ministry stressed that the numbers reflect a deliberate campaign targeting the education system, with schools bombed, universities destroyed, and classrooms turned into mass graves. Thousands of children were killed while sitting at their desks or seeking shelter in school buildings.

Human rights groups warn that Israel’s systematic destruction of the education sector is part of its broader effort to erase an entire generation, denying Palestinian children their right to learn, grow, and survive.
